I first started hearing about Crossfit sometime in 2011 when my friend and former workout buddy started doing it in Worcester. It sounded very different and intimidating from the routines I had been doing for 12 years (isolating body parts on different days and sprinkling in the occasional cardio day). I could tell by the way he talked about it, that it was something he felt passionate about.
In September 2012, I finally decided it was time to step out of my comfort zone and try something different. I walked into Crossfit Iron Will and after my first 10 minutes intro WOD of wall balls, kettlebell swings, and box jumps, I knew I had found something I liked, but little did I know at the time how much it would change my life.
Not only did Crossfit become a passion of mine, it also became my social life, my sanctuary, and my home away from home.
My fitness increased exponentially as did my diet, self-confidence, and overall wellness. Most importantly though, I made great friendships that have had a tremendous impact on my life.
I would love to assist people in making these positive changes in their lives. I've had great coaches over the years that I've learned from and been inspired by. I hope to do the same for the members of Crossfit Vehemence.
It's amazing what can happen when you challenge yourself, face your fears, overcome them, and do things you didn't think you could do. That's the beauty of Crossfit and the crossover into other parts of your life is undeniable and priceless.
